Treasury Sales Dealer

The Job
Reporting to the Manager Treasury, the person will be responsible
for advisory and marketing treasury products to the Bank’s customers.
Key roles and responsibilities will include:
- Leading
marketing/ sales of existing Treasury products;
- Development & sales of new treasury products to
the Bank’s customers;
- Working
in coordination with other business units to market treasury
products to existing clients, and to seek new customers;
- Achieve
FX revenues from customer transactions in line with financial
target within the strategic plan;
- Cross-sell
Bank’s products to customers; and
- Training
other Bank staff members on treasury products and services;
Knowledge and Skills requirements:
- Minimum
qualification is a graduate degree from a recognized university;
- Good
sales & negotiation skills;
- 4
years banking experience 2 of which should preferably have been in
treasury products;
- A
general knowledge of other bank products in particular, trade and
structured trade finance;
- Strong
ability to manage relationships;

Relationship Managers (Business Assets)

The Job
Reporting to the Head of Business – Assets, the jobholders will be
responsible for client relationship management and developing the Bank’s
existing asset client base of corporate customers, and for growing new asset
corporate clients along with an expansion in funded and non-funded corporate
business volumes.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identifying
fresh sales leads and exploiting business opportunities to grow customer
base with concurrent growth in Bank assets;
- Marketing
Bank asset products to new and existing customers;
- Cross
selling of Bank’s products including trade finance products;
- To
ensure increased earnings, facility utilization and usage of Bank’s
various products and services to maximize revenue;
- Maintaining
a good loan book with increased profits and reduced non performing
accounts;
- Maintaining
customer relations to facilitate growth in customers base and increase
retention of existing clients by ensuring quick turn-around time on
relationship service delivery;
- Managing
risks and internal controls and ensuring that the necessary steps are
taken to measure, monitor and control these risks;
- Managing
and developing allocated team members performance ;
- Preparation
of asset facility proposals; and
- Preparation
and maintenance of all relevant reports.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
- Bachelor’s
Degree in a business related field. Finance, Risk, Credit, Marketing or
Accounting qualifications will be an added advantage;

understanding and application of Banking regulations, guidelines,

ICT Project Manager

The Job
Reporting to the Head of Information Technology, the jobholder
will be responsible for overall planning, management, co-ordination,
implementation, control and on-going evaluation of various ICT projects,
ensuring consistency with Bank’s ICT strategy, commitments and goals.
Key roles and responsibilities include:
- Planning,
implementation, monitoring and evaluation of ICT projects;
- Work
with the business teams in defining requirements, interface between
business and vendors, assisting business in test cases definition and User
Acceptance Testing;
- Providing
direction and support to the ICT projects team;
- Managing
procurement for the projects in collaboration with Bank procurement
department and in accordance with Bank’s procurement policy;
- Responsible
for key deliverables within agreed timelines, budget, scope and quality;
- Liaison
with various vendors on various applications; and
- Liaison
with system users to understand user related problems and guide them to
solutions, if that does not require any application modifications.
Knowledge and Skills requirements:
- Bachelors
degree in computer Science;
- Project
Management qualification: Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE
II certification will be an added advantage;
- Knowledge
and hands on experience in Oracle database management, including writing
PL/SQL scripts reports will be preferred;
- 6-8
years’ experience with at least 3-4 years in a commercial bank;
- Good
interpersonal and communication – verbal and written skills;
- Ability

Head of Business Assets

The Job
Reporting to the Managing Director, the jobholder will be responsible
for growth and management of the Bank’s assets book in line with Bank’s overall
strategy and will provide leadership to the Bank’s business teams for business
growth in corporate/ mid-corporate market segment in Kenya.
Key Responsibilities;
- Lead
and manage the Bank’s business strategy, which targets the
mid-corporate/corporate segment for assets growth;
- Aggressively
market existing loan and trade finance products to the Bank’s target
market segment, leading and motivating a team of corporate relationship
managers;
- Maintain
and develop the Bank’s existing portfolio of clients;
- Maintain
high credit quality standards for both existing and prospective borrowing
customers;
- Develop
and implement appropriate action plans to increase market share and
revenue to the desired level;
- Optimize
Bank’s revenue through various mix pricing parameters with special focus
on sources of non-interest revenue;
- Maintain
and inculcate high standards of integrity and ethics in dealing with
existing clients, prospective clients, the business assets team, other
colleagues, regulators, and other stakeholders;
- Formulate,
drive, measure, and manage the Business–Assets team’s sales performance
strategy; and
- Network
across the broader stakeholder group (Uganda and Rwanda, in addition to
Kenya), to leverage and identify business opportunities.
Knowledge and Skills requirements:
- A
business-related university degree;

minimum of 10 years banking experience with at least 6 years experience in
a senior relationship management position in a Bank;

Database Administrator

The Job
Reporting to the IT Manager, the person will be responsible for
providing technical support across all I.T systems in the Bank.
Key roles and responsibilities will include:
- Configuration,
troubleshooting, performance tuning and management of database systems;
- Designing
and implementing redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster
recovery and data archiving to ensure effective protection and integrity
of data assets;
- Developing,
managing and testing back-up and recovery plans; ensuring that storage,
archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly;
- Writing
database documentation, including data standards, procedures and
definitions for the data dictionary (metadata);
- Responsible
for change control, version control, access control, input/logic
inspection control, security and integrity of data, documentation, back-up
archiving and segregation of duties/roles and procedures where necessary;
- Commissioning,
installing and configuring new applications and customizing existing
applications in order to make them fit for purpose;
- Troubleshooting
any database and application related issues;
- Controlling
access permissions and privileges;

systems analysis, and related systems; experience with mission
critical and OLTP applications preferred;

oriented and able to develop and follow documentation related to the

Credit Analyst
Ref: CA/2013
The Job
Reporting to the Head of Credit/Head of Business Assets, the job
holders will be responsible for analyzing, reviewing, monitoring as well as
making recommendation to the Management on each credit proposal, in accordance
with the CBK Risk Management Guidelines and the Bank’s Credit Policy.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Review
and make recommendations to the head of the department, relating to all new
facilities, reviews, excesses requests, risk grading and pricing matrix
for clients on credit proposals;
- Extensive
analysis of financials of the borrowers in their Balance Sheet, Profit
& Loss accounts, Cash Flow & Funds Flow statement, satisfactorily
establishing their financial credentials;
- Ensure
critical risk monitoring for loan Portfolio, highlighting specific action
points for accounts in excess/over approved limits, and loans in arrears;
- Daily
review of the overdraft referral list and loan arrears report and
factoring the same in the analysis (for the existing customers);
- Prepare
and check offer letters in line with the approval terms and conditions;
- Should
be able to work with tight delivery schedules to ensure quick
turnaround-time; and
- Lucid
and error-free presentation, with minimum supervision, tying up all risk
mitigants.
Knowledge and Skills requirements:
- Degree
in Business / Finance; or Accounting qualifications;
- 3 – 5
years experience in banking out of which 2- 3 years should be as a credit
analyst;
- Strong
analytical skills and ability to interpret the information in a precise
and meaningful manner to help management in decision making;
- Good
understanding and application of Banking regulations, guidelines,
policies, processes and procedures;
- Keen
on quick turnaround time and must have the ability to work within strict
deadlines and with diverse teams;
- Attention
to detail, high levels of accuracy and good report writing skills;

in number crunching with analytical bent of mind;
